An Introduction
My full name is Vinicius Yamamoto dos Santos, but most people know me as Vini. I am passionate about finance and economics, which is why I created this blog to share my insights into this beautiful and complex world.
I remember one of my first encounters with finance when I was about eight years old. My parents gave me a piggy bank shaped like a football (or soccer as some would unfortunately call it). They explained that every coin I put into it would add up over time, and one day, I could use that money for something special. At first, it was just a fun game—dropping coins in and hearing the satisfying clink. But as I watched the piggy bank fill up, I began to understand the value of saving. The moment I finally broke open the piggy bank and saw the coins pile up, I felt a sense of accomplishment and empowerment. That simple experience taught me the basics of saving, the importance of patience, and the rewards of financial planning.
This blog is my way of exploring and explaining the fascinating intricacies of finance and economics, making them accessible and engaging for everyone, especially teens and young adults like myself. I hope to inspire you to embark on your own financial journey and discover the empowerment that comes with financial literacy.
What to Expect?
In the upcoming blogs, you can expect a variety of concept explanations, insights into personal finance, article and book reviews, news coverage, Q&A posts, and interviews with professionals in the finance field.
In terms of structure, blogs will be posted every Tuesday and Friday. In addition, the first Friday of each month will either be a Q&A or interview with a professional (rotating every month).
Blogs will be posted from writers in our team who are all also finance enthusiasts who share the same passions and excitement I do!
